Caregiver for Behavioral Group Home

Pay Rate: $17.98 to $20 per hour (depending on which group home location you work in)

Full-time for most positions, some part-time open as well; schedules are regular and consistent

• Competitive Pay: Starting range is currently at $17.98/hour up to $20/hour (pay rate determined by which group home location you work in), plus annual increases, Pay on Demand , Full benefits package for employees working 30+ hours/week, including health benefits and 401(k) with a 3% company match

  WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO SEVITA

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent; DSP Year 1 and DSP Year 2 certifications REQUIRED (Note: we can help candidates who have sufficient experience to complete these certifications but must be done before they can start working in the program)

• Experience: One year or more of experience in direct care of individuals with developmental disabilities - AND - must have some experience working with severe behavioral challenges such as hitting, spitting, running away, verbal and physical aggression, and so on.

• Skills: Behavioral de-escalation, knowledge of client rights and advocacy, strong communication skills

• Clearances: must be able to pass applicable criminal and driver history background checks and a pre-employment physical and TB test.

• Behaviors: Patient, compassionate, reliable, responsible

• Licenses: Valid CA Driver's license; must have driver history of at least one year as a licensed driver (in any US state)

• AVAILABILITY: All positions require working at least one weekend shift (some schedules include both weekend days)
