    Northway Academy, a part of the Sevita family , is a day program offering daily applied behavior analysis (ABA) services for children with Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) or related conditions.

    Children with Autism have a variety of developmental, learning, physical and emotional needs. As a Behavior/Mental Health Technician, you will work closely with our clinical team to achieve the following:

  • Run therapeutic and behavioral plans, and provide early intervention to increase social and self-management skills

  • Provide guidance on a range of developmental goals from communication, exercise and nutrition and academic skills to assist with school readiness

  • Support individuals with learning and maintaining personal skills such as: hygiene, grooming and/or toileting

  • Teach and model interpersonal and social skills to help individuals thrive in their communities

  • Provide assistance using strategies to properly manage and redirect agitated or aggressive behaviors

    Qualifications of a Behavior/Mental Health Technician:

  • Must meet qualifications required by the EIDBI benefit; continued education in related field (minimum of an AA degree obtained or enrolled in a Bachelor's program or higher) OR at least 2 years' of full time, paid (not volunteer), clinically supervised experience supporting individuals with various disabilities (can include CNA, PCA, nursing home, direct care, and/or daycare center experience).

  • Must be minimum of 18 years of age

  • A compassionate approach with a reliable and responsible attitude

  • An ability to connect with children with an ability to work with others to accomplish goals

  • Experience in human services

  • Successful clearance of background checks
